James and his team are the best. I was really nervous hiring a company to work in my home during COVID, but he and his team always showed up in masks and with hand sanitizer -- without being asked. I felt like they really respected my home and boundaries. Smart PNW was the first company to respond to my inquiry (although I got bids from multiple people), and James made himself available throughout the project whenever I had a question. I had many questions, and he answered each one with patience. James was awesome from the get-go. We had already had some pretty terrible customer service from another local blind company, and although the price was affordable we looked elsewhere. James was communicative from the get-go, made time to come over in the evening for an estimate and worked with us to get a price point that felt fair for the quality we got. He sent weekly emails updating us on the progress of our blinds and as soon as they came in, he worked hard to have his install crew in and our the next day within an hour! James did an awesome job in helping repair a very tall (loft height) motorized shade that was having mechanical issues. He was easy to correspondent with, and did research on how to repair the shade even before arrival. Came on-time, very fair quote, and professional. Highly recommend! :)

We hired James to do a blower door test for us, and we were so impressed by his knowledge and professionalism that we hired him and his company to do some construction projects for us. He ended up doing work for several months because it seemed there was little he couldn't handle. We also had two of his employees do a lot of work for us, and we've loved working with all of them. I was impressed with his professionalism and detail-orientation right from when he came over to do measurements and show us samples. James works exclusively with Hunter Douglas, and having purchased Hunter Douglas shades before, I know these are the highest quality. He communicates well, and is incredibly responsive.
